AGE - RISK FACTOR?
AGING takes place in time, but it is not caused by time. The passage of years is not the cause of aging.
There is a difference between time, and the things that take place in time. The dropping of water on a stone, will wear away the stone, if continued long enough. But it’s the water and not the time that wears away the stone.
Neither time nor age is an entity. They do not come and go and are not causes of anything.
Old age is a condition of the body (mental, physical, physiological, etc.), not a time in life. It is not time that produces the changes in the body that are called aging. These changes only take place in time.
When stones have been built in the gallbladder and kidneys, plaque in the arteries and heart, the prostate gland has enlarged, cancer and other “old age” diseases have developed, these things are not the effects of time, but of causes operating in time.
Two people, under the same amount of impairing influences will age at different rates, depending on the resistance each offers to the causes of impairment.
